Welcome to a peek inside my life. I live in Wisconsin but spend most of my time crafting how I’ll spend my time just about anywhere else. Some favorite memories in recent memory involve hitchhiking to the top of Hawaii’s largest summit: Mauna Kea, dancing the night away at lakefront palace in India, tobogganing in the heart of Quebec and helping a dear friend propose within a hot air balloon overlooking the Teotihuacán pyramids of Mexico City. This girl is up for any adventure and refuses to use vacation days for anything other than travel.
As a gal who grew up working at a five diamond resort, I’ve learned to appreciate the finer things and services in life at home and while traveling. You’ll come with me as I navigate lavish preferences and fine hospitality while maintaining a budget. This means I’m always meticulously planning my trips to maximize my experiences as well as money.
When I’m not trying to erase every country from my scratch-off map, hiking and the outdoors bring me happiness. My ultimate goal is to hike Patagonia in the near future. Oh, and don’t let me forget to tell you about the time he made me hike the Grand Canyon in a day. My husband, Eugene, thought it’d be a great idea to hike down and up in one day.
I value self-improvement and emotional intelligence. My journey will show you that I know who I am, and what I want, but more recently I’m all about dialing in on the best version of who I CAN be. Welcome!
The Quick Info
What’s the blog name story?
Originates from the obvious- my name. I was named after a strong lineage of women on my mother’s side with the same name. Specifically, I have a soft spot in my heart for my late Grandma, Anna Marie (Nancy). If anything, it’s a lasting connection to her.
Why’d you start a blog?
This blog originated as a creative outlet, and I’ll keep it going as long as it brings me joy. As someone who works in the communications industry, I know what good looks like. In fact, I know what the best blogs look like. You know what, though? I’m setting boundaries and doing what’s good enough to make me happy.
